Football, live? article image

Y, I, kiddles.

A new press release makes it clear as day.

EA are to update FIFA 09 stats on a weekly basis, depending on how the players play.

Cool idea, eh? A different game every week. Makes you wonder why it hasn't been done sooner really...

$180,000! article image

This Wall St Journal piece, an interview with Braid creator/designer guy; Jonathan Blow, outs a reckoning on the fact that the game's development cost him around $180,000.

While its not a lot by big game standards, it is a hell of a lot for one guy to shell out.

But, as our Dave Cook would tell you: 'IT IS BRILLIANT!'

Space monkeys coming! article image

Spore, the next game ina  long lineage of awesomeness (Sim City, The Sims etc) from Maxis/EA has gone gold.

Meaning that the evolutionary strategy life sim could be in your hands very very soon.

Spoer will give you the chance to guide a lifeform through its evolution, from spore based microbe, right through to space monkey, replete with laser bananas and such. If thats yer' bag anyway.

It will be big, and it will sell by the gajillions. Whether its good or not is a different matter...

Only time, and evolutionary pressure, will tell.

Soul Calibur IV In Numbers article image

After Soul Calibur III sold pretty poorly by the series' standards back when it was released in PS2, there were some concerns that the franchise was starting to stutter. However, naysayers be damned because the facts as they say, do not lie.

Currently riding at number one in the ELSPA UK charts, the game boasts stunning visuals, meaty combat and enough lady parts to make Hugh Hefner blush.

Reportedly shipping an insane 2 million copies since it launched two weeks ago, expect full coverage of the game in issue two of the Square-Go magazine available at the end of August, along with some rather interesting info on what downloadable add-ons are on the horizon.

If you haven't played the game, get the demo, it rocks! The middle ages have never looked so...sexy...
